On August 7, 2010 four determined women established the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Pi Sigma at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA. Kappa Chapter currently has 43 members, all of whom uphold the values of the sorority. Being one of only two multicultural sororities on the Santa Clara campus, our organization has been a safe space for our members who join and a site to exercise leadership and philanthropy opportunities.
Kappa Chapter has a special focus on academics. Through our weekly study groups and commitment to academic excellence, our chapter has won the national Golden Lily award, awarded to the chapter with the highest GPA, two years in a row (2018 & 2019). Our sisters have also gone on to pursue masters and doctoral PhD degrees at USC, UCLA, and Columbia. Our chapter also boasts of sisters winning high honors such as the Gilman International Scholarship and competitive internships & fellowships which allows for strong networking opportunities.
